Shrimp Kebab Recipe


This shrimp kebab recipe is perfect for beginners. It requires very few ingredients, but is bursting with flavor. Shrimp kebabs are very easy to make, but the taste will make your guests think you have working all day!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • pinch of parsley, finely chopped

Preparation:

2 hours prior to grilling, prepare the marinade. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, pepper, parsley, and garlic. Place marinade in large freezer bag.

Rinse and dry thawed shrimp. Add to marinade and place bag in refrigerator until read to grill.

Remove shrimp from marinade and discard marinade. If using metal or steel skewers, lightly coat them with oil. Place shrimp on skewers (about 5 per skewer).

Spray the grill lightly with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Add shrimp kebabs. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until shrimp turns pink. Do not overcook.

Serve shrimp kebabs over a bed of rice with fresh lemon wedges.

1 envelope unflavored gelatine
1/2 cup cold water
2/3 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of salt
3 eggs, separated
1/3 cup cognac
1/3 cup cr?me de cacao
2 cups whipping cream, whipped and divided
1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust
Chocolate curls (for garnish)

In saucepan sprinkle gelatine over water. Add 1/3 cup sugar, salt and egg yolks. Stir. Heat and continue stirring until thick. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add cognac and cr?me de cacao. Chill until the mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add remaining sugar and fold into mixture. Fold in one cup whipped cream. Turn into crust. Chill.

Garnish with remaining whipped cream and chocolate curls.

Stuffed French Toast





non-stick cooking spray
12 slices bread
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup strawberry fruit spread
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup (optional)

Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; set aside.

Lay 6 slices of bread on your work surface.
Keeping edges free of food, place a generous teaspoon of cream cheese, a generous teaspoon of fruit spread, and 4 or 5 strawberry slices on each piece. Top with remaining bread.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip sandwiches, being
careful not to let strawberries fall out. Press edges together to seal.
Heat skillet to medium. Cook each French toast sandwich 2 or 3 minutes or until
the first side is golden brown. Use 2 spatulas to turn sandwich over, and cook until second side is golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with maple syrup, if desired.
